Theresa Cane
President

I’m Theresa and it is my pleasure to intruduce you to our Fifty5five Board of Directors.

But first, a little about me. At Fifty5five, my day to day basis, is on trip planning and oversight.she also tends to bookkeeping, social media and is an active traveler.  I bring to Fifty5five a background of Administrative Assisting, Chaplaincy, Children’s Ministry, Youth Group, College Group, and Women’s Ministry, and have been a part of Fifty5five for nearly two decades. During that time, I have held multiple roles, beginning in 2007 as a mission traveler. Over the years, I have served as a Director, Secretary and now, it is my pleasure to service as President of this Christ centered organization.

“I first became involved with Fifty5five in 2007 as a traveler.

I have a heart for youth and realized after my first mission trip with Fifty5five how instrumental teacher training is in creating thriving children’s ministries around the world.  Children are the leaders of tomorrow and every tribe, tongue, and nation deserves to meet Jesus in a real and personal way.  We don’t simply hold a vacation bible school.  We train teachers so the work continues long after we leave.  VBS is the icing on the cake!”

“I am excited to be a part of the Fifty5five leadership team and continue my support of this ministry through acts of service. To participate in a ministry that is part of raising up future leaders in the name of Christ, has its rewards and challenges, but it is a role that I have been blessed to be called into.”

I believe that children are precious in the Lord’s eyes and we should do everything we can to teach them of God’s love and the gift of eternal life through Jesus’ death on the cross. I also believe that using our spiritual gifts to serve the Lord and advance His Kingdom is something that all Christians are called to do. I am really excited to join the Fifty5five team and support its ministry.”

Don Gilzean

Sharing with others how to bring the love of Jesus to children around the world in ways that a child can learn from and enjoy!”
